Seminar on commercial soilless greenhouse cultivation – May 7th 2016.
Center for Research in Alternative Farming Technologies (CRAFT), based at Mumbai, India in collaboration with Association for Vertical Farming (AVF), an International non-profit organization conducts country’s first ever seminar on the business opportunities in commercial soilless greenhouse cultivation. Speakers and stakeholders from India and abroad shall provide in-depth information on aquaponics, aeroponics and hydroponics.
CRAFT is working closely with the industry experts to address the needs of Indian customers. Dr Ashok Dalwai, Additional Secretary, Agricultural Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, GOI, shall be the Chief Guest. He acknowledges the value of such a path breaking event! The event shall be resourceful platform for serious investors looking to diversify into an industry that is recession proof and has great promise in times to come.
The future of agriculture solely depends upon people who embrace modern technology and have the passion to take it forward. Climate change due to global warming is a major threat to horticulture and needs to be addressed on a war footing and alternate failsafe techniques that will help produce pesticide free, high yielding, nutritious crops, to feed a rapidly growing global population. India is now having easy access to necessary technology and skill sets required to produce chemical free food. Adoption of these technologies by more and more stakeholders will help bring horticulture to industry status in a few years from now.
